The Altare della Patria, also known as the Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II ("National Monument to Victor Emmanuel II") or Il Vittoriano, is a monument built in honor of Victor Emmanuel, the first king of a unified Italy, located in Rome, Italy. It occupies a site between the Piazza Venezia and the Capitoline Hill.

Last year
the panoramic view of Rome is breathtaking. on the other hand a bit of a hassle to visit the museum but nothing serious because there is the surprise of the military museum.

I didn’t realize you could go up. Glad we did. But don’t pre buy tickets. More expensive and you must go convert the online ticket before you climb up, like we did, only to have to go all the way back
