About

Established in 1922, Stadshuskällaren is a historic restaurant nestled within the cellar of the marvelous Stockholm City Hall. Now spearheaded by Maria Stridh, it regales patrons with some incredibly delectable dishes packed with tantalizing Swedish flavors. The cellar vault is tastefully-styled, featuring a beautiful mix of contemporary Swedish designs and original furnishings and fittings reminiscent of a classic ambiance. This remarkable restaurant is also the only place in the world where one can relish all of the Nobel menus served during Nobel Banquets in the past. Aiming to promote sustainability, Stadshuskällaren's kitchen whips up organic delights garnished with ingredients sourced with minimal impacts on the environment. If you're visiting during the festive season, try their fantastic Christmas smorgasbord, a traditional Swedish buffet, which comprises a three-course meal where one can enjoy pickled herring and cold meats, appetizing hot dishes, and "Gottebord" - traditional Swedish sweets laid out for Christmas dinners.
