The San Antonio Museum of Art is an art museum in Downtown San Antonio, Texas, USA. The museum spans 5,000 years of global culture. The museum is housed in the historic former Lone Star Brewery on the Museum Reach of the San Antonio River Walk. Following a $7.2 million renovation, it opened to the public in March 1981.

Loved it. Good sized museum but not overwhelming. Local to worldwide art. Right off the Riverwalk and a courtyard to relax in if you need it.
MoreExpansive museum with a massive collection covering everything from ancient Rome and Egypt up until present day. You could easily spend all day here.
MoreThis museum has a great collection of artifacts, sculptures and art from Greece, Rome and Egypt. There are ton of other pieces from other regions as well, but these were the standouts for me.
