Le Coq is James Beard Best Chef finalist Tara Monsod’s new wave French steakhouse in La Jolla, San Diego. Inspired by the modern Parisian culinary landscape, chef Tara reinvents classic dishes through her signature approach, blending cross-cultural references and ingredients for a distinctly SoCal expression of French cuisine. Amazing food and fun vibe!! We will definitely come back. Highlights of the evening were the chicken skin butter, the steak frites and the Bordeaux. Definitely unforgettable.

Dirty Burger was WAY too salty and the Gnocci was lacking flavor. The bread was outstanding and the service was good.
