Busy basement pub with good atmosphere and good choice of beers but stretched staff. Had the fish and chips and roast beef Sunday lunch both were okay but neither exceptional the portion of fish was..

Rudest bar staff ever (anywhere!). Dropped in for drinks after dinner with friends who were visiting Edinburgh. Bar staff were hostile and rude to a shocking extent. Nearly walked out after ordering.

Beer great. Hygiene not so great. Fingers on the top of the glass. Is this correct. I wonder what goes on behind the scenes. Pity.
