The Oost-Indisch Huis is an early 17th-century building in the centre of Amsterdam. It was a headquarters of the Dutch East India Company (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie or VOC). The Oost-Indisch Huis was the first building especially built for the East India Company. The building served as the headquarters of the Amsterdam chamber (Kamer) of the East India Company. The 20 regents of the Amsterdam chamber met here.
