At the far north end of Pike Place sits Mr. Fish, a casual seafood spot that’s tailor-made for tourists, and has a hit-or-miss menu. You’ll find beer-battered fish and chips that get the job done, and a creamy clam chowder topped with bacon-fat-flavored Goldfish crackers that should really be sold as separate snacks—but at $35, a small portion of Dungeness crab feels overpriced. With ample seating on a breezy patio overlooking Elliott Bay, Mr. Fish works for a rest stop while entertaining out-of-town guests. Just know there are better fried seafood options nearby at Jack’s Fish Spot.
