The Slipper Clutch is the Russian nesting doll of LA speakeasies. This graffiti-covered cocktail dive is hidden at the back of a larger bar, The Grayson, which is behind DTLA handroll spot Temaki Society. And somehow there's still room for a second level with a band stage. But all you need to know about Slipper Clutch is it's a good spot to catch live shows (anything from punk to metal to hip-hop), drink unfussy cocktails from a soda gun, and play some retro pinball. Show nights can get rowdy depending on who's playing, but most nights the mood is mellow.
