Amari is a triple threat: a red sauce Italian restaurant, wine shop, and artisanal market all in one. It’s a low-key dinner spot where you can pop open a bottle of wine off the shelf and have some garlic miso focaccia—just be sure to order all the dips that come with it: whipped ricotta, Calabrian honey, pesto, and tomato sauce. We like their sesame arancini that’s bursting with pork sausage and smoked mozzarella and how the rigatoni’s bolognese sauce doesn’t skimp on bits of beef and pork. There’s also the nice option of taking some ready-to-heat meals and giant jars of their bolognese and marinara sauces to go.
