Pappasito's is a Tex-Mex staple with multiple locations in Houston. But the Cantina in Upper Kirby is special because it's tiny and has a romantic bricked-in covered patio. Hailing from the Pappas empire—Pappas Bros. Steakhouse, Little's Oyster Bar, etc.—Pappasito's is a well-oiled machine. Everything arrives just as it should: butter-sizzling fajitas, pico-laced queso, and massive frozen margaritas. You'll pay a little more for Pappasito's than a neighborhood Tex-Mex spot, but the prompt service and massive portions make it worth it.
