The Burger Joint is as close to a grilled backyard burger as you can get in the middle of Montrose. The counter-service patio restaurant makes basic griddled burgers. They’re heavy on the salt and pepper seasoning, with lettuce, tomato, and thick wavy pickles. But you can also get double patties smashed with kimchi or lamb burgers with tangy tzatziki. Even though nothing here will turn you into a Burger Joint convert—unless you end up here at 3am after a nonstop tour of the bars on Fairview—the food is solid. And while this street corner backs up with constant traffic, Burger Joint’s patio is lined with so many giant fans, big-screen TVs blaring sports games, and umbrellas you probably won’t even notice.
