If you live in Prospect Heights, Dilly Dally works perfectly fine as a backup dinner or weekend brunch option. The restaurant, with its pastel coloring and scrapbook-like interior filled with framed prints of things like Babar the Elephant eating a cheeseburger, is a really nice place to sit. Preferably with an on-tap cocktail. The dinner and brunch menus are pretty much the same—the smashburger, served on a very fluffy potato bun, will keep you more than satisfied, but the rest of the food plays second fiddle to the cutesy design of the space.
