Upon first glance, Dolores Deluxe looks like any other park-adjacent corner store in the Mission—fridges stocked with six-packs and aisles of laundry detergent alongside jars of fancy chili crisp. But it’s also a sandwich destination. The weekly-changing menu has creative filling combinations that effortlessly work, like the mole rotisserie chicken or pastrami with spinach artichoke dip. If it’s on the menu (and even if it’s 3pm), get the breakfast sandwich with a melty leek omelette and a layer of spicy tomato jam. There are a couple of sidewalk tables, but this place works well as a pit-stop on the way to a patch of grass.
