Small Bar is an appropriate name for this Avondale spot with just a few booths and stools. But we’d gladly cram into this 500-square-foot dive for a night full of good, affordable drinks and one of the city’s best burgers. Small Bar has a solid selection of beers on draft, plus some excellent cocktails, like a balanced frozen banana daiquiri that’s sweet, citrusy, and has just enough of a boozy kick. And thanks to their resident food pop-up, Patty Please, perfectly griddled smashburgers and garlicky cheese curds are available to help fuel a darts rematch.
