This quirky pizza joint is a remnant of what Midtown used to be, before everything moved in around it. Stepping in is like walking into a brightly colored time capsule, where you can still get the thin, foldable, New York slices they’re known for, while checking out their impressive VHS collection. The Kitty is a truly spectacular white pie, with chunks of Hattie B’s hot chicken and sliced jalapeños. It’s big on the ricotta flavor and texture, and feels like the embodiment of Nashville in a pizza. The Cleopatra Jones, with sweet Italian sausage, roasted red peppers and onions, is also good. Make sure one of their homemade chocolate chip cookies with ribbons of caramel makes it on the receipt.
