It should be no big shocker that a place called Sammy’s makes incredibly good sandwiches. The Adair Park restaurant has a coffee shop feel that makes us want to hang out well after we’ve finished a reuben and zingy limeade. With real houseplants on every other table and a breezy atmosphere thanks to the open garage door walls, it’s also no big shocker that this place keeps a crowd of laptop-toting young professionals and chatty groups. Their small, constantly-changing menu comes in clutch for a variety of situations. If a filling lunch is the game plan, the hearty Uncle Sam should be the move. It’s a buttery slider with so much house-smoked pork that it spills out the sides. On those days when you want to stay light on your toes and nimble on your keyboard, Sammy’s comes through with free wifi and the Samigo—a turkey sub that tastes like a summer day. There are even delicious breakfast sandwiches (fluffy eggs and melty cheese) on buttery buns, so you can start your morning off on the right note. It's not on their menu, but upgrade your breakfast sandwich with their thinly-sliced pastrami to take things to the next level.
