If you prefer teriyaki sauce that looks and feels like gloopy gravy, you’ll appreciate Ichi Roll’s extra-thick stylings. (We certainly do.) But despite such a high cornstarch concentration, the stuff is great lacquered over nicely seared chicken, or swirled with bits of rice and citrusy salad dressing. Leave it to a restaurant that has nearly 100 different items on the menu—sometimes overachieving can pay off.
