Out of Ordi started as a pop-up in its owner's home, but is now a full-time bakery focused on Korean-style salt bread. These rolly polly-shaped, palm-sized pastries are topped with things like honeycomb shards or matcha powder, and filled with fluffy black sesame or pistachio custard. Flavors rotate daily, but the base is always the same: golden, slightly crackly shells with chewy middles. The best flavors—like sweet corn with actual kernels or the buttery pistachio—balance salt and sugar just right. They work just as well for breakfast or a snack, and most trays are usually gone within a few hours after opening, so come early.
