From the proverbial flames of queer pub The Glory, The Divine has risen to continue hosting iconic drag nights, such as LIPSYNC1000, in Dalston. With its neighbours Vogue Fabrics and Dalston Superstore down the road, it forms the new ‘Pink Triangle’ of queer venues all within walking distance. There’s a dedicated performance space downstairs and queer icons adorn the walls—and, if you’re lucky, the upstairs seating area as well. The catwalk-like layout also makes it excellent for catching eyes. For something strong, stiff, and reliable (unlike your ex), order the long island iced tea, garnished with cocktail cherries.
