In the 1 Hotel in Dumbo, right off Brooklyn Bridge Park, Barbuto is the kind of place that will inevitably play host to countless engagement parties—and it’s big enough for a wedding, too. The space is mostly concrete, with floor-to-ceiling windows and big fig and monstera plants surrounding tables full of friends in pricey sweaters. If you’re a fan of the famous pollo al forno from their original location in the West Village, you can and should get that same dish here, alongside all their other classic, market-driven Italian dishes. Lean into the pastas, and make sure a pizza al mare is on your table—it’s got subtle pops of seafood, and can easily be split if you're on a double date or with friends for a nice but not stuffy dinner.
