Ichiro is a sushi and teriyaki spot in Magnolia that we'd frequent daily if only for their cashew tofu and to gaze upon the many sushi art canvases on the walls. But if you're on a hunt for great teriyaki, you'll be happy here. In fact, if Ichiro’s teriyaki showing was scrutinized by a pitmaster, they’d award bonus points for fall-off-the-bone chutzpah. (We’re talking about boneless thighs, but you get the point.) In addition to the perk of being able to cut the meat with the flimsiest of plastic forks, roasted sesame seeds on top add a nutty crunch—and you’ll also find a pork egg roll well worth the upcharge.
