Bob's on Baker Street isn’t open 24 hours like the Polk Street location, but that’s OK since the donuts are every bit as stellar. You’ll encounter denser-than-average apple fritters, classic glazed, malasadas, jelly- and custard-filled wonders, and more behind the glass case. And yes, their signature Challenge—also known as polishing off a steering wheel-sized halo within three minutes for a prize—is alive and well at this outpost, too. The corner storefront in NoPa is takeout-centric, but there are a few stools by the window counter bar if you want to spend quality time with your treat and some drip coffee, otherwise, the Panhandle is a short walk away.
