In the Chicago handheld food scene, a sandwich loaded with juicy Kronos gyros is arguably as iconic as a Chicago dog—this Ukrainian Village spot is one of our favorite spots to get one. It’s a no-BS pile of juicy shaved meat, onions, tomatoes, and tzatziki, all loaded on a soft pita. We’re also fans of their Grecian chicken platter with herby pieces of poultry, lemony potatoes, and rice to soak up all the chicken juices. Greek Corner is mainly a take-out spot with a constant flow of neighborhood regulars and delivery drivers picking up their orders. But for immediate gyro consumption, we like eating our food next to their colorful wall with a painted bouzouki.
