We could write a three-book series about this 67-year-old Burbank diner, but all we really need is one paragraph, so here we go. Tallyrand isn't just somewhere to go for a hearty Marie-Callender-approved meal. It's a place to appreciate the displays of raw humanity inside, which on a recent 10am visit, included a guy in a biker jacket pounding Dirty Shirleys at the counter and a ladies’ group in the same flowery blouse who apparently meet every week “wearing a fun new shirt.” This crowd tried email once in the ’90s and hated it. They also seem to be really into turkey sandwiches and turkey dinners (fun fact: Tallyrand roasts 200 pounds of turkey daily). Follow their lead.
