Berimbau takes their Happy Hour very seriously. Every weekday at 4pm, the Brazilian restaurant turns on the bossa and breaks out the caipirinha glasses for a festive dinner pre-game. The cocktail, available in six fruity flavors, has the ability to turn your deadlines into a distant memory, and manifest a beach party in your future. If you’ve been to Berimbau’s original West Village location, this second Midtown spot definitely caters to a more buttoned-up crowd. The spacious, polished dining room is a more tropical beach-themed than actual beach vibes—at least until the caipirinhas hit. It helps that they cost $10 each during “Brazilian Social Hour,” and are available alongside other discounted cocktails, as well as snacks like cheesy pão de queijo and shrimp croquettes. You may just end up staying for a dinner of steak and feijoada.
