Nomzilla doesn’t have much in the way of atmosphere. The place is often empty, with more people trotting in to collect their to-go orders rather than sitting down. But that’s everyone else’s loss: the special rainbow roll actually feels special, with a tender crisp asparagus among the tuna and salmon inside and a duo of drizzles outside. There’s also an appropriate whiskey made with Asian teas that you can’t access by phoning in your order. Outside of fish, we love the crunchy cabbage roll filled with tofu and scallion and topped with gochujang-coated tempura napa cabbage.
