Raised, sourdough, cake, buttermilk—every donut at Magical Donuts in Parklab Gardens is guaranteed to be so light and fluffy you could stuff a teddy bear with them. And despite the generous coating of frosting and glaze, the donuts aren’t overly sweet and don’t weigh you down. There are dozens of options to choose from daily, including vegan and gluten-free flavors and at least one monthly special. Our fallbacks are always the strawberry glazed cake and the Raised Mission Caffè that’s basically tiramisu with espresso frosting and mini-dollops of mascarpone cream. We suggest getting to Magical Donuts early, as they tend to sell out of certain flavors by the early afternoon. And you could wait until you get home to have a bite, but you might as well take advantage of all of the picnic table seating at Parklab.
