Supérette is the vintage-inspired, Paris-meets-Passyunk wine bar, bottle shop, and café mashup South Philly never knew it desperately needed. It comes as no surprise, since it's from the team behind Good King Tavern and Superfolié, who've pretty much mastered the whole drink-well-and-eat-light thing in this town. They specialize in French wines, but the bar shells out a mean bourbon smash and gin martini if cocktails are more your speed. You’ll usually find it overflowing with friends sharing cheese boards, first dates flirt-fighting over the last bite of parsley-soaked octopus and merguez, and beanie-capped babies and their parents sharing squares of the comté ravioli. After lingering over a few tasty small plates in the lemon-yellow booths, you'll want to take a bottle and the black olive tapenade to go (and you should). The fun and refinement at Supérette flow as easily as pét-nat into a glass, putting it at the top of the list of East Passyunk essentials.
