It finally happened: a Mexico City-inspired restaurant opened in Ojai. Radio Roma is a grungy taqueria/mezcal bar/listening lounge right along the main drag, and the space looks like somebody built a makeshift recording studio in their shed (complimentary). The food menu is small but satisfying—a few mariscos dishes, tacos, and a slim California burrito that’s more like a taquito—though better suited for snacking with drinks than a full-on dinner. Plan to stop by for mezcal mules and a taco or two up in the hidden loft space (which involves climbing a ladder). Or swing by late-night: Roma is open until midnight on the weekends, which is basically after-hours in Ojai.
