Outside of Yankee Stadium, you’ll find two bars that people constantly mix up. But they couldn’t be more different. Stan’s is a sports bar with lots of TVs, multicolored lights, and a big bar down the middle where people who despise stadium beer prices convene before the game. (Billy’s is more like a cavernous, never-full-enough club with couches we wouldn’t dare sit on.) You do the math on which to go to. Before a game, Stan’s fills up and the crowd spills into the sidewalk, drinking Stan’s signature pilsner and meeting up with friends who just hopped off the 4. It's a fun hang—fun enough that you might end up catching the first inning from inside the bar. If the Yankees win, it's also a good post-game move.
