Philly has a lot of all-day cafes and a lot of music venues, but not many that do both together. MilkBoy has been combining the two since it opened in 2011. It was originally just a coffee shop that hosted a few bands a week, but now it turns from a cafe to a full-time bar at 5pm, and it has a dedicated concert space upstairs. You can come here during the day and do some work with a cup of coffee, or stop by to grab dinner (their jerk chicken sandwich is great) before catching a show.
