This market-seafood shack hybrid in Culver City imports its fish all the way from New Zealand and the South Pacific, but something about a casual meal here feels quintessentially Californian. Friend groups in Quicksilver hoodies and flip-flops show up after the beach with their Australian Shepherds in tow to end the day with draft beers, baskets of steaming fish and chips, and one of our favorite poke bowls in LA (when asked tuna or salmon, get the combo). Tangaroa has plenty of TVs to watch whatever game is on, plus a wrap-around patio so you can toss back beautiful oysters in the sunshine.
