Civil Coffee’s original Highland Park location is the most spacious of its three branches, and a great spot to kill an hour with a nice latte. The tall ceilings make it feel bright and airy, and there’s a shaded outdoor patio for stretching your legs. Stop by for a brunch-y meal before 2pm, including a solid avocado toast with labneh, mint, and a mound of peas that adds creaminess (it’s also on Bub & Grandma’s sourdough, which is half the reason it’s good).
