The space is fairly quiet, and there’s no shortage of tables if you and seven of your closest friends pop in for dinner on a random Thursday night. You’ll find most of the Korean classics on the menu, like corn cheese, fried chicken, and bulgogi, but the real draw is the galbi zzim—a massive multi-person platter filled with braised beef, assorted vegetables, and, if you choose, a blanket of melted cheese. Dishes occasionally come out too cold or underseasoned, but generally good enough to get the job done with minor complaints. You’re not coming here for a celebratory birthday dinner, but when you want somewhere unfussy, easy, and generally crowd-pleasing, Zzim is worth a stop.
