The University of Notre Dame Australia is a private Roman Catholic university in Perth, Western Australia and Sydney, New South Wales. It was established in 1989 by the Archdiocese of Perth with early support from its founding partner and namesake the University of Notre Dame in the United States. Following approval from the Parliament of Western Australia, it was inaugurated with canonical proclamation at St Patrick's Basilica two years later.
