Lindenwood Diner looks like a diner with a parking lot that you’ve seen in a television show and surely could never exist in the five boroughs. Except it does, in Lindenwood, in a massive mural-covered space that serves diner food paired with Caribbean, Latin, and Southern dishes to a perpetually packed house. That means your two eggs any style are accounted for, but it also means there’s mofongo and seafood boils. Our general rule of thumb here, should you have the stomach space (the portions are massive), is to order one classic diner offering, and one thing you’ve never seen on a diner menu before. If you need some direction, try the Argentinian steak sandwich dripping with chimichurri, or the smoky chicken chicharrones with red beans and rice. Also, the cheesecake is indeed as good as it looks.
