This basket light-filled, Mediterranean spot attached to the Godfrey Hotel is a decent utility player for River North office workers, or hotel guests who don’t want to walk too far for a sit-down meal. The spacious dining room isn’t usually busy, so it works well for spontaneous group dinners or a bar hang. And while we’ve run into some dry chicken and octopus, the food is generally solid. Spicy whipped feta with harissa and pita is a good starter or happy hour snack, and when it’s not overcooked, we like the smoky grilled octopus accompanied by creamy skordalia. For a larger plate that’s great for sharing, get the lamb shank with orzo.
