Tucked among the touristy shops of Olde Mystic Village is this gem of a coastal Italian restaurant that’s exactly right for a last-minute big group dinner. It’s bigger and airier than it looks from the sidewalk, and inside you’ll find a brightly tiled bar, actual trees, and lots of clinking wine glasses. The crispy calamari, made with local squid, comes Rhode Island-style with banana peppers, and it will satisfy any crunchy craving. All the pastas are housemade, and most of them are solid, but the linguine with littlenecks and gnocchi with pepper cream and saffron are both especially excellent.
