The Alderman is a great cocktail bar located inside of Pilsen Yards. And even though it’s not particularly secret (it's easily found with a neon sign) it has everything that we want from a speakeasy. The inside is dark and intimate, and once you’re settled—cocktail in hand and listening to their hip-hop playlist—you can easily forget about whatever stressful thing was happening before you stepped foot inside. The drinks are fantastic, with a rotating selection of creative concoctions like the Sichuan Panda made with baijiu, sesame oil, and peppercorn. Plus, the bartenders are friendly, and might even take a shot of tequila with you as they close up.
