Cold Drinks Bar, located above China Live, is a moody, semi-secret lounge with the makings of a fancy—if not mysterious—night out: take an unmarked staircase leading to a yellow door, which opens up into a den-like room full of velvet and leather chairs and sleek light fixtures. You’ll feel like a high-profile power player, even before throwing down $20-ish for an excellent cocktail off the seasonal, whisky-heavy menu. While this place looks buttoned-up, the energy is laid-back, even later in the evening when the place fills up. Still, to ensure a table, make sure you arrive with a reservation.
