The smaller and more conveniently located of this venerable luxury brand’s two resorts in the Maldives shouldn’t be overlooked; the Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa offers everything you could ask of it, from stunning overwater villas and lavish on-land bungalows and pavilions to reef diving, a surf school, and a spa that’s set on its own separate island. There are no fewer than six restaurants and bars to keep things varied, including the Reef Club restaurant with its improbably authentic Tuscan cuisine. It’s not the only resort of its kind, even under the Four Seasons flag, but it’s a fine introduction to the genre.
