“Noodles Party” is a perfect name for this Albany Park Thai restaurant. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays—the only days they’re open—their small dining room buzzes with people huddled around tables. Outside, there’s usually a short line of people waiting around 15 minutes for a spot. Everyone is united by one goal: slurping fantastic noodles. And there’s added excitement from a constantly changing menu—you never know what they’re serving until they make their weekly Facebook post. One day, the servers will zip around with duck noodle soup. On another day, it’s rich khao soi. Or you might see the chef (wearing her signature flower hat) building bowls of five-spice broth, rolled noodles, blood cubes, liver, and fried pork belly. It’s unpredictable, but we have yet to find a bowl we haven’t wanted to swan dive into. Be on the lookout for a couple of rice dishes like khao mun gai, too. And just know that food can sell out during dinner, so if you want to try a dish you saw on Facebook, go for lunch—it’s worth ditching work.
