The center-island rest area is available for traffic in either direction on the Western Kentucky Parkway between Louisville and Paducah. The entrance/exit is on the left. I did not have any need to go

Stop monthly on the way across KY. Has every thing you need. Always see people I know from across the state- it's a must stop.

When I was growing up this rest area was considered "the half way point to everywhere." We stopped many times on trips. Beaver Dam was almost a destination in and of itself. Now it has become a cookie
