Not to be confused with the cocktail bar in Cherrywood with the same name, Teddy’s is a charming restaurant in Rosedale from the team behind Bill’s Oyster. You can get bivalves and burgers here, too, but the menu leans more classic bistro than oyster bar—think grilled redfish, steak frites, and a pork schnitzel with a very pretty caviar beurre blanc. It’s the kind of place that works as well for a casual date night as it does when you just want dinner that feels a little special without being fancy. It’s set in an old renovated storefront with checkerboard floors, cowhide rugs, and Western floral wallpaper, and while the room can get a little loud, the space feels warm and friendly enough for lingering over dinner or weekend brunch. The food is a touch pricey, but the variety means it's easy to keep everyone happy. Teddy’s isn’t trying to reinvent anything—it’s a pleasant neighborhood spot serving crowd-pleasing plates with a little more creativity and finesse than your average café.
