The Grenadier is a Belgravia institution that started life as an officers’ mess hall in the 1700s, but is now a no-brainer for anyone with a Land Rover Discovery. There’s a faintly militaristic feel to the whole gaff, as well legal tender from all over stuck to the ceiling. Settling into a little corner for a long evening of pints with people called Jonty and Monty is very easy to do.
