Jazz clubs are cool, but underground jazz clubs are even cooler. The Stowaway backs up that claim. This subterranean Art Deco venue in Downtown used to be a real speakeasy during Prohibition and still looks from a different era. There’s a low tin ceiling, a polished brass bar pouring classic cocktails, and various dark nooks and crannies where you can lounge with friends and listen to local bands perform. The Stowaway hosts all kinds of music acts, too, so if you’re not feeling jazz, there’s a good chance you can still catch Afro beats, Miami bass, or a techno show.
