New owner/management: disappointing at best. Spotty hours, maybe inadequate staffing. (It seems so.) I stopped in for dinner and saw that the counter has been removed. Bad decision imo, but no problem
The Traveler is more than a diner--it's a destination. Worth the drive to Travelers Rest? Absolutely. In fact, the food here is so good it might just move you to relocate. The vibe is pure retro charm
