About
Big Wave Bay Beach is a gazetted beach next to Big Wave Bay, Shek O, Southern District, Hong Kong. The beach has barbecue pits and is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong Government. The beach is 86 metres long and is rated as Grade 1 by the Environmental Protection Department for its water quality. This beach is popular among surfers.

Cool beach, we did the Dragons Back hike to get there, was very rewarding arriving there. Big beach with pretty big waves, but big waves seem to come with a lot of surfers, so the water is pretty crow
It’s not the biggest beach ever, nor the cleanest or with best food. But when you rent a surfboard and surf on the waves there, it becomes so much more fun! It’s stinking hot there, so bring sunscreen
