Ophelia is an impressive spot for after-work drinks in Midtown East. This cocktail bar on the roof of the Beekman Tower has an indoor/outdoor wraparound patio with great views of Midtown and the East River. The cocktails have some unusual ingredients (like cedar smoke), and they’re all well made, but they’re also really expensive ($16-$28 each). Similar things can be said of the bar food - if you’re OK spending $24 on steak tartare, for example, then you’ll enjoy it. Stand by the bar with clients, or bring a date and reserve a table outside.
