Ruston’s waterfront has its fair share of fancy seafood restaurants, but the casual Northern Fish has them all beat. Technically, it’s a seafood market where regulars swing by for scallops by the pound, tubs of seaweed salad, and endless varieties of smoked fish. But there's also a little counter cranking out excellent made-to-order meals. Picnic tables outside put you so close to the water you’ll be side-eyeing seagulls the entire meal. Order the salt and pepper prawns, a cup of chowder, and definitely the fish and chips in either halibut or cod form.
